Welcome tlb, First I must ask what you mean by "I think it's 20ga". You can search here to see if you find your sxs, but first you have to know what you got. Best, Ernie

No marks on the gun give a gauge, its not 12ga. for sure and 16ga makes no 3" mag.

Tlb, you can email photos to the address in my profile and I'll post them for you. Try to include markings on barrel flats and watertable.

No marks on the gun give a gauge, its not 12ga. for sure and 16ga makes no 3" mag. Given that, it's a 20 ga. A sure test would be to stick a 20 ga. shell in the chamber and see if it fits.

I highly suspect that if you remove the barrels and look on the barrel flats (or take a photo of the markings you will find there) there will be gauge markings there along with several other bits of information such as Italian proof marks and coded year of manufacture. Post those photos and we can help even more.

Tlb, there is no "AP" Italian date code. For your reference:
AB-1992 AD-1994 AF-1996
Maybe it could be one of the above.

Supposedly AP = 1986 as the manufacture/proof date.

You could contact Fausti directly about your gun. That was before they were importing guns to this country. Probably something someone picked up in Italy (or elsewhere in Europe) and brought back.

Tlb, sorry for the delay. Just got back from out of town. Ernie P.S.: I stand corrected on the date stamp; I have the incorrect Beretta table.
