Great friends, dogs, weather and success during the opener this year near Winner. The heavy proof Garbi 12 and Fiocchi Golden Pheasant 5s proved to be " just the ticket" . Much credit to Don Loftus and Elk View Kennels for the fine dogs and " War Wagon". All wild Phez,sharptail and chickens made up the mixed bag of daily limits for our annual hunt. Longest trip award goes to Bruce and Paul , who made the 24 hour ( one way) trip from N. Carolina to join in! I thought I would share a few photos:

What's wrong with this picture? I see more autos and pumps than doubles! smile

Looks like a great time by all, and the weather looks like it cooperated-nice photos. I can't wait to head back a little later in the season.

Mr. Moore-
We hunt land first "pioneered" by Don ~ 20 years ago. I can't recommend a guide service as we operate entirely on our own - we stay at a private residence and over the years have arranged access to~ 3 sections of crop/grasslands/creek bottoms. You might try the local Chamber of Commerce of various locales or contact Pheasants Forever for local chapter references.
