Please note... My PC burnt up...yes...it actually smoked...I even burned my hand screwing with it while it was smouldering.
This will not effect the website but will cause a delay in me responding to orders, questions, general email etc.
I do have a new PC but it will take me a couple days (read this weekend) to get it up and running.
So please be patient if I don't reply....I have stolen my wifes laptop to post this!
Also, there has been a rash of idiots posting really off topic material....If you see any bizziare post please send a moderator notification in and I will whack it as I am able.
Thank you, Dave Weber

Dave,
I once lost a casio watch touching something in a 386sx while it was on. Shorted out everything... the pc rebooted okay after a while, but the watch was never the same.... then there was the crossed wires on a power supply... shut down 3 store two days before christmas.. good luck.
I now use macs for my own use, leave the pc for my guys

For those of you who don't know this. PCs have a built in cooling fan that usually blows the exhaust out the back. Over time this fan can get clogged with dust and it won't operate effciently. Your PC will over heat and the dust, lint etc. can actually catch fire and there goes the processor plus your hard drive. Having "Been there and done that" I recommend that you periodically vacuum out the fan exhaust area on your PC in order to avoid these problems. Jim

Actually I always dust (actually blow out with a compressor)...it was a catastrophic power supply failure. The Main board 12v connection melted...while both fans were still a spinning!

AHH, Dave, the wonders of modern technology. All those little bits and bytes running around in there bumping in to each other and causing all sorts of mayhem. The last time mine did that I threw it up against the wall. WORKED FINE AFTER THAT!
You have my deepest sympathy and Best Regards, George
