It is a Darne (lower grade) or a Darne copy. It will have proof marks on the bottom of the barrels if it is French made. There should be a serrated bar inside the action that, when pushed down, will release the barrels for disassembly and viewing of the proofs. If French, it will be a sound shooter and might go for, oh, say, something like $500.
More knowledgable will likely add more information.

Must be a Darne clone, or you'd have the name where you could see it. Photos aren't the best for evaluating condition, but I'd say $500 is low for that gun.

Don is correct. It is based on the Darne patent. You need to post close up pictures of the action, as there were many Darne copies. For a lot of discussion about Darne, you can go here: http://www.gournetusa.com/forum/forum.as...amp;whichpage=1Pete

I sold a Darne look alike with a broken stock and no bluing. light pitting on the outside of the barrels. Had 8 bids, went for 560.00 "go figure". Have a great Weekend All. Rich

It is a copy of the original 1894 Darne R patent gun, with what appears to be a revision to the safety in the breech block itself, rather than the rocker in the guns lower metal action rails. Typically, an unmarked gun will feature single proof, and is the very definition of a using bird gun. I can't see the bore, but, assuming they are as nice as the rest of the gun, with un-buggered screws and traces of color, think more like $750-1000. Best, Ted
