Hi all, I just wondered if these products were a known entity on the site. He makes an insert in cartridge brass material on CNC machines for various chambers of european cartridges and drills them straight down to create a smaller powder space than normal which can then be loaded down with a lighter normal calibre head or even a pistol bullet of the same calibre. Makes the calibre suitable for yotes or foxes or turkeys. Alter the powder amount to get it to shoot to the same point of aim as the normal ammo would. Here is the link. http://www.samereier.de/Regards Martin

Not familiar with this particular maker and hard to navigate the website ( no Deutche sprechen Zie). Do know of the nice Lothar Walther inserts and also the MCA adapters made here. The old Kreighoff shotgun/.22 adapter is a classic too.
I have handy friends that make their own adapters as well. Turns out the 9.3x74R shoots the 9mm Makarov perfectly with a chamber adapter..... so Glenn can terrorize the meerkat after rolling the warthog!
Best,
C.

What I think I saw was a list of handloaded centrefire rifle ammo, not adaptors. MCA make a nice range in the USA Mike

drilling down in a case blank with smaller powder area raises pressure issues if not carefull. not as much surface for pressure to act on, need to keep in mind

Well he is a professional gunsmith and reloader. I have a 7x57R and he sent me 20 cases which I have yet to load, unless anyone wants me to bring them over the pond for them on my trip in March 20th, I can always order some more when I get back. 7x57R loads data link http://www.samereier.de/kaliber/7x57r.htmMartin

What I would like to see are some cartridge inserts for doubles that work off the extractors for removal like the old Savage 410ers do. I realize that pressure might be an issue here but if they stayed withing the original pressures for a 45-70 say in a 12ga I expect this would work ok. I'm interested in other opinions? Jim

I think case head thrust might be a problem with 12 ga to rifle calibers, but I agree, a 47-70 loaded to Trapdoor pressures might work. How long would you want these adapters to be? Length of the barrel, or 12 inches or what? Mike
