It's very nicely balanced from side to side and is quarter sawn. jOe, the Win 21 stock is sawn the same way from what I can see. Don't be confused by the fiddle-back in the wrist area. The flow looks, to me anyway, to be very straight through the wrist area. This stock should last forever unless someone runs over it with a truck. Doug Mann

Think of feathering as an over lay on top of the grain. The blank is from a larger slab of Illinois black walnut. This blank has only a hint of feathering.
