Picked it up at the Des Moines show over the weekend. Pretty much plain bread and butter BLE, CC receiver (mostly faded) with "Hibiki Model M" in scroll on the sides. "Kawaguchiya Firearms Co Ltd Tokyo" on the rib. 12ga, straight/splinter/DT. Pretty good Japanese copy of a Brummie BLE. Owned its twin brother years ago, except the twin didn't have ejectors and was marked "Miroku Model M".

good find as these are not common in us. few years ago i looked at something simliar sakaba blne 'royal' with cc receiver, dts, sg-sfe wood. from a distance it looked just like old webley 700. lots of 100s, 200s, 280s but few gamey royals out there.
ps. KFC company (not related to chicken fry outfit) once made one touch breakdown auto shotgun with horizontal stroke action bar and total of 79 parts.

If memory serves, and it aint what it used to be, one of the guns I brought back from Japan in 1957 was by that maker. At the time, I thought it was a fine piece. Memory won't recall what I did with it....Gun came stateside in the paint locker of the USS J.C. Butler DE338....SIGH!

Last Dollar, I think more than a few Japanese guns reached these shores that way. I bought a mint Miroku 20ga, DT/PG/splinter, from a guy who got it while in the Navy over there. Another one I kinda regret not keeping. Cabela's out in Sidney had about half a dozen of those, I think new in the box, 3 years ago or so. They were selling them for around $1,000 I think, which given what else is out there today was probably a pretty darned good price.
