I own a pawnshop in south carolina .This shotgun came out of pawn this week and i have no idea what it is.It looks like a mauser action that is chambered for 12ga.Is it orignal or was it made after by a smith.What is it worth,is it rare.here are the pictures.

These 2-shot clunkers (when compared to simple but quality gun like Winchester Model 37) with large ring Mauser actions usually wear Geha or Remo names on them. If you are interested there is a small chaper entitled Mauser Two-Shot Shotgun in Bolt Action Rifles by Frank de Haas.

This was an attempt by the German firms to make nothing out of something between the wars and they succeeded admirably.

Congratulations to all concerned with the Research & Photography,on this "What Looks Like a Mauser Shotgun"...About as 'In Depth Review as there could Possibly Be"! The last time I saw one of these, was around 1950. on a Farm In Gloucestershire.(EngLand)They Had been Hosts to Many of the German(Former Nazis)Prisoner's of War, Some had stayed on after the end of "Hostilities", Mating with the Local'Crumpet"!!! I used to spend July & August on the Farm,Killing as many Wood Pigeons & Coneys' as possible. It was good for "Room & Board". I formed a friendship with a Young Former POW. 'Wolfgang'He had a Mauser. Bolt Action 12b that we used to Kill our "Bag" with. Now the Mystery has been 'Solved" After aprox.58 yrs..Thany You.cc/dt
