Going on Viking Seine river cruise in a couple weeks. Any interesting gun shops to visit In Paris, Normandy or La Roche-Guyon areas?

This guy has a shop over by the Arc de Triomphe.

I don't think there's much more for fine guns in Paris.

I don't know how many days you have in Paris, or if you've been there before, but it is a very feature rich town.
Build your list of interests before arriving. Time will be fleeting.

Out there doing it best I can.

Agree with that recommendation. I tracked down a few by looking under armurier /armurerie in the phone book. I would not count on finding anyone who speaks much English. On the other hand, if you speak French, they can be very willing to talk with an American who speaks their language.

I spent a summer in Rouen many years ago. There was a good gun shop there at that time. Worth a look if your boat stops in Rouen.

Specific information on the shop in Rouen, but very dated: E.P. Brunet, 53 Rue de la Republique, Rouen. Tel 71-89-72.

Rouen is a very civilised town, so worth a visit but all French phone numbers are now ten digits long.

Rue de la Republique is on the Right Bank (as you looks downstream) and it runs at 90 degrees away from the big river bridge just downstream of an island, so should be an easy walk. However like many other stores many have relocated to the suburbs.

Bonne Chance!

I am not sure we ran into anyone who didn't.

My exact experience as well. Everyone spoke English in Lyon and St. Etienne. My gunmaker asked me if I spoke any French. I told him I could say I’m hungry and curse at a waiter.

“Perfect” was all he said.

I wrote a little bit about my trip if you are interested. I have some pictures of that museum of hunting and nature in here too: https://aaronnewcomer.com/finding-lefaucheux-on-my-trip-to-paris/

It's a pretty relevant post to this whole board really.
