OP battle Sidelock Joined: Jun 2002 Posts: 2,266 Likes: 93 Versailles	Would be a really good grouse gun. Barrels are 26" nitro steel non-ejector. Stock dimensions are 14" X 2 1/2" X 1 1/2". Choked Imp mod / Full. Weight is 5-15oz. Cast off for right hand. Bores are excellent. Good blue and much original case color remaining. High figure walnut, no issues. $1750 delivered. Just curious, since I am not a grouse hunter: what qualities make this a good grouse gun? Based upon the habitat I hear talked about in which grouse are hunted I am guessing the combination of short barrels and the first fairly open choke followed by the tighter choke for those escaping the first shot. Am I on the right track? Like I said, I never have hunted grouse but it is enjoyable reading about the exploits of others who do. Good luck with the sale. Perry M. Kissam NRA Patron Life Member

Well just my idea is that it has short barrels and a gauge in my opinion suited for the game. But obviously any gauge is as well suited as I've taken grouse with 28, 20 and 12ga's. Perhaps the chokes could be opened a little for a better pattern for wing shooting. Easy enough done. Thanks Perry!
