I bought a box of unfired Dominion Crown 20 ga hulls at a gun show not paying particular attention to the primers. Now I see they are something other than a 209 shotgun primer. Being unfamiliar with these I'm not sure what I have and secondly what recipes to use to reload with these primers? Wondering how old these hulls might be?

A little bit of google slothing revealed a site dedicated to the head stamps of shotgun shells I did not know existed. http://www.cartridge-corner.com/shotgun2.htm

And a Youtube video on the CIL - 3B primer and how to use them.

All very interesting. However I rather doubt I will reload the 20ga hulls since they are somewhat of an antique. Down the road they will be for sale.

I HAVE A BAG OF BLUE PLASTIC PRIMED DOMINION 16 GAUGE HULLS, THEY LOOK NEW. Primers look like older style W209s.

Is Dominion still in business?

Dominion became CIL in 1955 then it became Challenger and now is owned by Aurora Enterprises.
