Later the same W.H.James was joined by Charles [Perhaps a brother]. This business continued at 48 Whitall Steet until 1873. A picture may help to identify the actual maker of your gun. Roy Hebbes

It will be sold at auction, so I wanted to educate myself a bit, as I either have to drive 8 hours to get there to view the day before the auction or basically bid blind on absentee form. Jack
