Dayrl:
Nice gun. Really nice wood.
It would seem the shell carrier is not falling, for whatever reason. I will have a look at mine and see if I can cypher something out.

What an amazing gun! Superb wood as Glenn said!
Daryl, can you explain how the triggers work?

The front trigger is to re-cock the hammer if the first hammer fall doesn't detonate the cartridge.

One can also put the gun on safe by pulling the rear trigger and holding the front trigger to let the hammer fall gently.

Daryl,
I think you wanted to say that in reverse order!
Unless you want to have an accidental discharge?

Try pushing the front trigger rearward and at the same time pushing the carried downward. That until the carrier is lowered enough to allow the lug on the pump action arm to reallaign with the cam slot on the left side of the carrier. Then the slide action/pump action slide can engage the carrier, come forward and close the action, lowering the carrier the rest of the way.
Just my guess without taking the whole thing apart.

Daryl
With the block up as shown in the picture, the slide should move forward freely about 3/4 of its stroke. I took mine apart this evening and it was a bit of a challenge. I have it all cleaned up now and will attempt to reassemble it tomorrow. If I succeed, I may have a better idea of what might be the problem with yours.

Parabola, I'll try to do a better job of explaining the front trigger when I get my Spencer working. Daryl
