My grandson Emory went with his dad, my middle son John. They called up a longbeard and Emory shot it with his .410 single using TSS 9s. Bird went down but got up and ran.

They went after it and caught up to it flopping on the ground again, but as they closed in it got up a second time and flew up a tree.

Then before they could finish it off it flew into the swamp. Lost bird but confirmed a turkey hunting fire in the boy.

John said the bird was close enough but moving through the brush. Verdict was he just fringed it, tantamount to a miss..Geo
