His scroll work was amazing.

He did a rifle for me with French cave paintings. He added some amazing scroll work just because, and it's wonderful.

I visited him on two occasions down in North Carolina at his home. He was supposed to engrave a Fox for me and I left the gun in the white with him for a good while and then reclaimed it when his health deteriorated to the point where he didn't think he could get to it. A true southern gentleman with absolutely amazing stories. Sent me and the wife to a first class BBQ place nearby. For those that don't know it Ken actually worked with a bunch of other engravers for years down in Va, to include Jack Jones (Ithaca Classic Doubles) and I believe Gournet. He had a full life for sure. A bit of trivia, was that he engraved some of the hand guns that were used in the Movie the "Quick and the Dead" for Sharon Stone.

Sad news. We need to develop talent for the future and it seems that only a few young people are coming to FEGA and the trade in the past decade.

Rest in Peace, Ken.

I am here only to say how sad I feel about Ken's passing I visited him at home a few times and had many phone conservations with him. Not only a great engraver but a wonderful person. God speed my friend!

Regret his passing. Enjoyed his company and his knowledge.

Tim
