New England Custom Guns was founded by Dietrich Apel, who also founded the German Gun Collectors Association. He is now retired, but the staff, led by Mark Cromwell, has done outstanding work on my German and Austrian guns, including restoring a badly abused Greifelt S/S shotgun, fabricating all the screws for a J.P Sauer shotgun, which the owner had disassembled and then lost the screws, and creating a new fore-end iron and fore end for a Greifelt drilling, in addition to furnishing and fitting claw mounts for various combination guns and bolt rifles.
