I would like very much to apply Gough Thomas's AyA ejectors screw modification to selectively disable or enable the ejectors in this gun. Ejectors are nice, but I don't like the cocking effort when closing the gun after reloading.

The modification seems pretty straightforward, but I would have to remove the assembly from the forend to do it. Can anyone give me some pointers about doing this w/o hurting anything? Thanks.

Be careful as the springs tend to be very strong .

Rick, Fairly simple to do. I used a piece of key stock on the end of a threaded rod. I believe it was 10-32 threads.
You will have to experiment for the length of the threaded rod so that when you put the key stock on it will fit with clearance.

Thanks, JDW. That's what I'd like to do, and I can drill and tap the hole. The question is: how do I disassemble the forend?

After thinking about it, I decided the remove the springs. The effort required to cock the ejectors made closing the gun too difficult. Besides, giving the gun a slight backwards jerk when opening ejects the shells quite nicely. I really didn't need to throw the empties 15 to 20 feet to the rear.

BTW, I obviously did figure out how to disassemble it.
