I found this pacific gun peep sight. It fits on the bolt. It looks like the model that fit the old mosin nagant, but don't really know. I found it a week ago and ask the seller for any writting on it. He did not answer. Then it was gone. I swear it had 5 days left and it only had 1 bid at $9.99. If it had one bid it should have sold.
It then disapeared like it was removed. I email the seller through another item he had listed (the only way to trick ebay). and all of a sudden I got a second chance offer. Now there is only one bidder other than myself and the thing is skyrocketing. I think I am being ripped off. Has anyone else had this happen?
What is the value of one of these peep sights that mount on the bolt? It is now up to $100. and the seller doesn't know what gun it fits! If you don't mind do a ebay search for Pacific peep sight and it will come up. Should I continue to bid. I am out not at $100.

Here is some information that might help you. Nick Stroebel's book, "Old Gunsights and Rifle Scopes" lists only two bolt sleeve sights for the Pacific Gun Sight Company, the model R1 for the Mosin-Nagant and the EN6 for the 1914/1917 Enfield. According to him, the value for the R1 is between 150 and 300 and the EN6 is between 175 and 350.

Another eBay trick is the seller finds out the item is worth more than he thought and it is selling too low. He pulls the auction and then offers a second chance to back bidders. You might or might not be bidding against a shill. No way of knowing for sure, put in a bid for what it is worth to you.

Yes but either yours or the one for sale is backwards. Looking at the catalog, yours is right. Probably not a big deal and can be changed around.
Hopefully there will be honor among thieves, Jerry brought this to our attention and could have waited till after the auction, so I wasn't bidding before his comments so it is off limits to me bidding now. Just the way I look at it but you get to choose.
There are only 2 bidders and 35 bids, could be fishy....

I am still bidding and it is still going up. Either someone wants it real bad or ??? Not sure how bad I want it. I have a Nagant project rifle so it would be cool but not sure if I am prepared to go to much more About to go to Africa on safari so I am trying to be good
By the way the is an enfield for sale now too.
