Could anyone tell me where I might find a spring for an Ithaca Flues?
I was taking one apart this morning when a small coil spring fell out when I removed the trigger plate. It's the small coil spring that fits into a hole and bears against the trigger plate.I believe it locks the top lever to the side when you break open the gun. I spent most of the day looking for it but no luck.
What is the spring called? Thanks for any help. Pete

If you can't find the original, Wolf sells a small coil spring assortment pack, and I think Brownell's carries it. Shouldn't be hard to get one of those springs to work.

It is the "Trip" spring. Any coil spring the proper diameter, cut to length should work fine.

I believe you have solved the problem for as soon as the newly purchased replacement spring arrives you will no doubt find the wayward original.
At least in my experience.
