I used to have 60s vintage "steel club" like that often called 'Silver Hawk' imported into NYC by Gaylons(?). This looks very similar to what mine looked like.
I have seen these in 12ga locally in $600 to $700 range which is very good deal if one wants all around double capable of digesting American game loads from places like Walmart.

The Beretta model 409 16ga is a work horse. The value can be compared to the one on Guns International. They range from $1300 to $1800. The ones that have been sold at Gun Broker usually find a solid following. Then again, it only takes two people to make an auction. Hope you enjoy your find. I have a few 16ga Beretta SxSs and just sold a solid shooter for $1300.

From the 1956 Beretta catalog.

The difference is the amount of engraving. All versions of the 409 have an articulated trigger.
