Hello mates, i want to measure my shotguns wall thickness on my own. I know there is a tool used for it. Is there anybody that can help me where to find one and how to measure after.

All the best!

There are two commonly used devices that are commercially available. The Hosford & Co. and The Galazan gauses. They are discussed in detail here:

Brownells sells a Manson type gauge as well. It can be mounted or used like he Hosford guage.

The Manson gauge sells for about $100. That's what you want.

Traditional three prong desk mounted gauges come up regularly new at Holts auction in London, but Ive never found anywhere to buy direct, or who makes them. they are more expensive than Manson - about $500 usually.
I use a Hosford gauge and its really good quality and portable, and for you guys its made in the USA!

Ultrasonics are great measuring tools, but unfortunately for shot gunners, the barrel diameters are too small (effective radius) for any transducer, I have ever seen, to measure correctly.

What roalco said. A mechanical engineer with interest in NDT looked into the $1900 TI-007 Precision ultrasonic wall thickness gauge, which has a measurable range from .006" to 1" with a resolution of .001". However, the manual states that the minimum radius for convex surfaces measured is .5" or a little larger than a 4 bore, or 2.5" for a concave surface.

And BTW I affixed a tape measure on the in-the-barrel arm of my Bill Henry gauge which makes confirming the location/depth much easier
