I was measuring the bores and chokes on the Remington 1894 discussed in this thread:
http://www.doublegunshop.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=352270#Post352270Remington AE Grade 1894 s/n: 110152
Here is the information I have gathered.
Right Bore: .731" Choke: .030"
Left Bore: .732" Choke: .030"
Pellet Counts on Lug:
Right: (3)26 Left: (3)38
Right Choke Taper: 4 3/4" Long
Left Choke Taper: 4 1/4" Long
Visually the chokes appear unaltered and the pellet counts would seem to support that.
Did Remington commonly choke a shotgun with identical chokes in each barrel or would that have been a special order?
