Ken,

Tried sending messages a couple of times before. Apparently they did not go through.

Here is the information on what I have.

Charles Daley 16 ga.
Watertable
Left 1015 Prussia
Right U, what looks like castle/church with + on top, Prussia

Barrels
Left 16/1, 16 in circle, + over U, what looks like a bush, + over W, bush, + over S, 1015, HAL over crossed pistols, what looks like a cursive L, bush, + over S

Right, 16/1, 16 in circle, + over U, bush, + over W, bush, + over S, HAL over crossed pistols, what looks like a cursive L, bush, + over S

Rib, Charles Daley Fine Damascus Barrels

Stock, semi-pistol grip (POW), SFE w/ lever release

Box lock, single scallop action, with modest engraving, appears was nickel plated (some flaking now), cocking indicators, extractors

Based on your prior post, I am thinking Model 120?

Light, well balanced. Nice piece. Any information appreciated.

Also, if you still have your article on Daley, I would love to receive one. Please email me for my address.

Thank you so much.

Pat White

Pat,

Thank you for the information. I never saw the email. The email address should work (kkgeorgi@comcast.XXXXXnet). You can also get me at kgeorgi@bcssiXXXX.com (just remove the "X's")) I also just sent you a PM on this site.

Your hammerless Daly is either a model 118 or 135. If the gun has a simple dolls head rib extension, it is a 118. If the rib extension is fitted to a cross-bolt then it is a 135. Model 118s retailed for $125 in 1902 and model 135s were $140. The next step up was the model 185 (fitted with ejectors) and that went for $185.

You gun was made circa-1902. If it is a model 135 it may also have sideclips as these were introduced during this time. Your gun is also one of the later damascus guns as damascus was no longer offered after 1902 (in the SD&G catalog at least).

Sounds like a neat 16 gauge. I have some additional questions about the gun - please try again on the contact.

Thanks,
Ken

Ken,

Simple dolls head, no cross bolting. Pseudo side clips (carved into the ball). Sounds like 118.

No PM in box yet. Will try contact again tonight.

Thanks.

Pat
