Does anyone have a front sight hood, that they would sell, for a Browning Safari Grade Mauser Rifle, or know where I might find one? I tried Art's, but he did not have any.

Don,

You might try Midwest Gun Works, Travis @636-475-7300, 1101 Mason Circle Drive, Pevely, MO 63070

MGW has most of the older O.E. Browning parts in stock, rifle and shotgun.

I have one of the old style FN hoods that I think are the same. I will check it against my safari's and if so, you can have it for postage.

Thank you for the offer.
If it checks out the same and is in good shape, I'll take you up on it. I would be glad to pay you for it + postage.

Don,
It is not like the sight hoods on my rifles which date from the early sixties. It is the old style FN hood; ie. the 'hood' is smaller than the base width and tapered on the ends about 20 degrees inward. Let me know.

Thanks for checking. My Safari is a 1965 model, so it likely will not work.
