Like many of you, I have been on the life long quest for the perfect upland gun, the one that fits perfectly, acts like an extension of the body, magically points like the finger of God and is more pleasing to the eye than all the rest. And although I have come close, I have never found perfection.....and now I don't think I ever will, but chances are, I will keep looking for that perfect gun. I wonder what the next one will be???

For 5G's, give me three minty 20gw. Nitro Specials. A poor-man's NID and just as light. Chops

I thought that- gauge to gauge, and same barrel length, the Flues series Ithacas would be lighter than the later NID's. I'll betcha many of the innards of the Ithaca-LeFever Nitro Specials and interchange-able with those of the NID--

Reminds me of the time a wino finds a bottle and rubs it. Out comes the Genie who grants him two wishes. The first wish the wino asks for a bottle that never empties. His wish is granted, he can drink all he wants from the bottle but it never runs out. The genie asks "what is the second wish?" The wino replies, another one of these.

They advertised "Who ever saw a broken Lefever?". Probably closer to true as for most guns.
How about a 12, 20 and a .410?

I don't have a list but if it says AH Fox and is in high condition I start to sweat!! If it's a Super Fox I start hyperventilating!! If it's a CE,XE or D Grade I can't sleep. Unfortunately none of these conditions have affected me recently Dam!

I don't want something with embellishment of the metal, but I would certainly like to get a restock on two of my Smiths with upgraded wood. Add in re-bluing of the barrels of all my old guns. That ought to burn up the 15K. If there is anything left over, I'd stockpile tungsten.

If I was forced into a new gun it would have to be a pre-13 graded FWE Smith in 12 gauge.

For the 10K or the 15K, I'd look long and hard for a good Lefever and Parker in higher grade, also in 12 gauge.

It might be time to get a double rifle. Caliber like .450 BPE at minimum. Or... I swear I saw a picture of the most lovely flintlock double barrel fowler in another thread here 5 or 6 weeks ago. I looked for it a couple days later and could not find it. Maybe I was dreaming. It was that nice.

At 5 grand the nicest parker Trojan and 20 ga nitro special I could find.Any left over would go to Gamebore for shells. At ten the best Scott hammer gun I could find in that price range. At fifteen the best Purdey hammer gun I could find.I have seen some pretty decent ones in that range.

Maybe he'd take $15k for this lightly embelished Field grade Elsie.....16 of course.

If that fell through, I think I could swing this one.
