I hate when I agree with J0e....sorta makes me feel like the world is out of kilter. Anyway, he is right, the gun is nice but of moderate quality and the odd design adds nothing to the value.

Ross,
Thanks for pointing out the wings on the barrels. The engraving seems very similar on both guns. The degree of coverage is about the same especially on the forend latches although the latches themselves are of slightly different shape. Are there any numbers on your forend?

No class....I used to post a lot of unusual guns on this forum. I really like shotguns because of the wonderful and unique designs that have been tried in the breechloading era...I worked hard to find interesting things to post here,Ive torn apart guns many times to get a photo for someone looking for help or info. I never talked down to anybody or tried to make anybody look foolish. I pretty much quit posting because of HoJo and his rude behavior, I know several other people who hesitate to post their guns because of him as well. How much info has been lost because of one rude person? I dont even read the forum much anymore because I get so irritated by him. I have acquired some unusual guns that I doubt many here have even seen before. I used to really enjoy showing them because I knew they were appreciated here. This forum is hurt by his presence. He is tolerated by some like some "crazy uncle" and seen as an obnoxious pest....stop feeding the pest, call him out when he should be called out. Dont allow him to get away with insulting new posters or old posters...

Reb, agree. I think there are several posters here that need to take their morning "polite" pill. If what is posted isn't intended to help others then it shouldn't be written. I get darned tired of the "know it alls" around here. PLEASE!!! Let's keep it civil on this forum. I think Homeless jOe should rename himself to Harmless jOe. Although some of his posts are a tad abrasive, some are quite amusing and downright funny (in fact I have been his target before). I have said this before, he's not going to change and you just shouldn't take the bait. FoOooGettaBoutIt and just go on cuz jOe ain't leaving anytime soon.
