A very desirable gun. Probably a duck / goose gun.
Sure would like to see some pictures.
Best,
Mike
I am glad to be here.

You have an uncommon Parker, a steel barreled 10ga. Most 10ga guns were built on a 3 frame, I wonder if yours is a late gun from the Remington era and chambered for 3 1/2". If so it would be rare. The lack of safety is surprising since by the time your gun was built 10ga were banned from trap and pigeon shooting. More pictures and details please.

Do you possibly have a Parker with exposed hammers? How did you determine the VH grade? Tell us a bit more, like the serial number and markings on the flats of the action and barrels with the two parts separated.

The gun is hammerless, weighs 8 lbs. It has been used a lot as the checkering is worn as is the bluing. serial number in the 106000 range. Iam wondering if I should get it refinished?

If you do decide to refinish it, and since it's current condition wouldn't normally qualify it as a collector gun, you might also consider having a safety fitted to it. I did this a few years ago on a 12ga. Del Grego did the safety.

We would sure like to see pictures of the barrel flats and #4 lug marking. I have not seen a #4 frame hammerless gun in fifty years of collecting Parkers. Is the rib marking "Vulcan Steel" or is it devoid of a rib marking?

For a ten gauge gun with 32" barrels and if the #4 barrels were the heaviest made, 8 lbs. seems awfully light.
