Most Berettas in 28 ga. are on a 20 ga. frame and don't weigh much over 6 1/2 lbs., not conducive to extended target shooting. You can sometimes find 30" 28 ga. bbls. for a 12 ga, frame and make up a 7 3/4-8 lb. gun. Might be worth contacting Coles in Maine about what they could put together for a 28 ga. Beretta sporting gun. They build customized Berettas and Zolis and have a lot of spare parts to work with.
Such a long, long time to be gone, and a short time to be there.

I've found it easy to put weight into a gun. Never found it easy to take weight out.
Although I still have a 525 Browning 20g that I shoot well, I feel they are not anywhere near the quality of a Beretta. The 12g framed gun is certainly an option if the gun has to be near 8 lbs. I've found I like lighter guns down around 7 lbs even and if they are forward balanced like my 525 32" 20g, I shoot them very well for me.

Thanks for the link, she's a little light for the me. After a few calls the Caesar Guerini Summit can be had with a left handed stock, adjustable comb, with 30's or 32's for a resonable price. The bonus is it would hit the scale at 7# 6ozs. That to me is do'able. for flyers. I have a Browning 30" 20ga 525 that has been a real workhorse down South America for years. The nice thing I like about the Browning is the Tramline rib like my Perazzi. The CG is just matted not that is going to be a deal breaker but as some know Flyer shooters have some quarks when it comes to shooting. NO other game have I seen odd rituals.

Guess I'll have to weigh my 28 - not that I really care hahaha
Since I don't see the rib when I shoot it is just a matter of aesthetics to me. Which actually only comes down to the gun having something besides a swamped rib which to me looks like they forgot to finish the gun. But folks obsess about some strange sh7t for sure. My obsession of course is the incessant wonder that people can be so stupid as to not see things my way.

Yeah me too, all SxS's should have vent ribs, beavertails and single triggers. I ordered a Caesar 28ga 30" tubes, left handed stock with a palm swell, topped with an adjustable comb. Should have it Sat and get down to dialing it in. Those lighter guns just feel to whippy to me. I like a nice 21 crowbar that handles like a club.

CH I hope not. I am so used to the lever working to right it might play with me. I ordered 5 different cases of ammo today all 3/4oz as stated above legal load.
I am going to pattern and get her dialed in sunday, now what pellet size in the first barrel is the big decision. 8.5 8 or 2 7.5's??? I have always been a bottom barrel 8 shot man then 7.5 for the follow up. I know some guys that shoot 8's in bot but I never mentally had good faith in the 8 shot towards the back of the fence. I wonder how that 8.5 would do for the first shot.

What is your choke constriction for 28 gauge flyer events? More or less the same for 12 gauge?

S99 From speaking with the dealer the bore will be .555 so there's a slight over bore. Once I get it on paper I'll have a better idea of what choke. I really like to know how those 8.5 pellets would do at the 32 yard mark.
