I'm looking at having some custom 20 gauge shotshells loaded. New Era isn't doing 20 gauge (yet), but Google turns up several other options that I haven't heard of.

Do any of you guys have a recommendation or experience with a loader?

Wouldn't it be simpler just to load your own?

I don't have reloading equipment, and I don't think I want to start right now.

Just curious... what load are you looking for that isn't served in the commercial market?

RST, Polywad, the big 3, etc.

Looking for 20 gauge loads with 1 1/8oz of #8. In an ideal world I'd like it to be in roll crimped, high brass, paper hulls.

I plan to use them for grouse hunting with a cylinder choke. I know the extra 1/8oz of shot isn't going to make any real difference over the readily available 1oz loads, but March is the perfect time to worry about such inconsequential things.

I think the Big Three all offer a similar load in #6, but not #8. Several European companies make the load I'm looking for (Eley, Bornaghi, Lyalvale), but nobody seems interested in importing less than a pallet.

Contact Brian Erickson at New Era Ammunition. He specializes in custom loading low (or high if you like) pressure shotshells. RST passes on any requests for custom loads.

Thanks for the recommendation, but New Era isn't tooled up for 20 gauge loads yet.
