Yes, I have a 28" 12 bore in similar condition. That original box may have some collector value along with the gun. The 30" as you have is the scarcer model; most were 28" with some 26" and a 25" Churchill rib type could be had. I am looking for an original trade lable; at a fair price, to fit in a brand new Brady case that I have. Most were sold, if cased, with a Brady case and that is the first I have seen with a leather one so must have been an expensive extra. We will have to await Salopian to say what it is all about as he just asked if I could post the photos for him. Lagopus.....

Please tell my friend "Salopian" that he has a fine piece there... and with his shooting skills, he could use it like Stanbury!

Thanks to Lagopus and Salopian for posting pics. The gun in question has been left to someone I work with here in Niagara region Canada and wants to know approx value. There are more pics available but I do not know how to post hence the Trans-atlantic connection. The serial # is 130471 it is also marked .729 and BNP 12 2 3/4 3 1/4 tons.I have not seen gun but in some of pics there seems to be a rust issue. If someone wish`s to post other pics for me my email is pedler151@cogeco.ca.
Thanks Again Pedler

Lagopus,
Thank you for posting the pic. for Pedler.
The rust issue doesn't look like a big deal, the bore and barrel condition is more important and without guaging it who knows?
I certainly would give it a go, in fact I am looking hard for such a gun.Francis Lovel has 4 for sale ranging from 1295 to 1695.
How much and where are the Premiers?

Is the Brady case a green one with leather straps and a burgendy interior? That is how I would describe the one that my 728 came in but that may have just be an H & R thing.

Looked on the Vintage gun site. It's amazing how hammer guns have gone up in value over the last few years and what great value boxlocks are; especially the non-ejector types.

The W & S Brady cases I have seen supplied with the gun were usually of a pale green canvas type.

Salopian, are you looking for a 700 for yourself to use? Lagopus.....

Lagopus,
Yes I am looking for a gun for myself, also a Premier, a Greener Blue Rock or similar live pigeon gun.We had a management meeting the other day and due to my imminent retirement, failing health, painting and decorating expertise, SHE, her highness as decreed that I may indulge myself. I told her that most of the guns were only about 30 when they were made, so they should be cheaper now with all the wear.
