So many nice guns listed on gunsinternational. Most POR.
What I don't get is the Win model 70 for 17K? Not that I get the other ones, but still...

I've sometimes wondered if they really know their "audience".
They always seem to have some fabulous guns but among them are some that would bear the "caveat emptor" warning.

I have had the same reaction. Yet I have seen several posts from people saying that they had very favorable experiences with this dealer.

Such a long, long time to be gone, and a short time to be there.

Might be the "audience" is selling.

Maybe people don,t know what they are buying. After all"ignorance is bliss" in some cases.

If it is listed "POR" I always take that to mean the price is higher than market, and the seller doesn't want to be embarrassed by it. It's a big flag-off for me. I have never made inquiry of a "POR" listing that left me thinking the object was under-priced.

I have done business with Bill Hadfield at Robin Hollow for a number of years and he has always been an honest straightforward dealer. In addition, he is free with his knowledge and has always provided excellent advice, whether I was buying one of his guns or one elsewhere. Several weeks ago, Bill was given an opportunity to sell an outstanding collection of firearms for the estate of a collector that had passed away. The collection value is estimated at over $2 MM, even in this economy. Bill has put many of these firearms on the internet to get wide viewing but he would also admit that not all of these wonderful firearms are easy to price, hence the POR. If you are not interested in the firearm, then POR is not really an issue. If you are interested, then I am sure he will work with you on a mutually agreeable price but all of these guns are very high end. Over the next few weeks, as he gets a sense for the specific value of these guns, he will add pricing so some/many of the PORs will be changed. However, he is interested in discussing the specifics of the firearm with a potential buyer rather than have them immediately turned away with a price they view as “too high”, which it may be. He is in business to sell guns at a fair price and at least in my experience he does an outstanding job. Since I only live 45 minutes away and shoot at Addieville where his store is located, I see him quite often. He has an outstanding selection of high end firearms and is a very fair person to do business with.
Thanks
Z

I hate auctions that start at $.01 but have hidden minimums. I just skip them.
