We need a source for authentic English best blacking located in the US. I'd appreciate hearing from those of you who have used a 'smith who can do this and turn a job around in a reasonable time. We often have work which we would rather not have to send to the factory in Birmingham and have had little luck in locating the talent in the US.

You've had a hard time "locating" talent here in the U.S. for "Best English Blacking"?? Maybe you havent "looked" hard enough? There's alot of people who can rust blue or "Black" barrels in the finest of European, American or English traditions.
