Thanks for the link. I am looking for something a lttle less expensive than a new H&H. The gun will be used quite a lot in Alaska and a new H&H costs about 2 years wages for me so that is out. I was hoping for paradox/ ball and shot type gun for under $10k but maybe I am crazy. Thanks again

You may find one...anywhere. 10k may be enough to spend but all ball and shotguns are not equal nor were they made that way. I would want a rifled choke paradox preferably a Holland or Westley but other makers used the rifled choke method after 1900. Prior to purchasing you should arm yourself with a little information on the guns specifications. What were you looking for exactly?

Not really a gun made for shot but you can have a new made double shotgun made will fully rifled barrels, rifle sights, designed and regulated for shooting slugs. I can think of several in both 20 and 12ga for less than $10k. Verney-Carron, Chapuis, and SIACE will make these. I am sure there are others but these were the first manufactures to come to mind.

I am looking for a gun that will shoot shot and solids. I am looking at a Tolley ubique gun right now. Does anyone here have any experience with this particular model?

J.W.Tolley made good guns for the waterfowl trade I have a 12G and it is fine so it should be a solid gun, the guns condition is everything though. T.Bland made the Euclid also with rifled chokes. Martin

You might want to look at the Ball and Shot gun made in Turkey for DoubleGun Headquarters. Available in July in 20ga (pre-order price is about $1750.00). I am not sure what the price is agfter they come in. Regulated @ 75yards with Federal Tru-Ball ammo. Smooth bore with IMP and Mod chokes for shot. Double triggers, sights and engraved game scene. I am starting to sound like an advertisement, but I am also interested in these, but waiting until next year when the 12ga is available.
