OP boomer1959 Boxlock Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 7	I have a field grade Ithaca double 12 gauge that has developed a misfire primarily on the left barral but after firing the right barrel about 20 times it will also start to misfire. It has been to three gunsmiths and no one can find anything wrong with it. It will fire for them but once I take it to the trap range "click" no boom! I am in south central PA if anyone knows a good gonsmith who is able to work on the old doubles!

sweep Sidelock Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 191 NE Ohio	Where in SC PA, I talked with a smith from Hyndman PA that's close to the Maryland line, shooting sporting clays at Shanksville PA. I don't know if he works on doubles but if you are close I'll try to find his information.

I own a few Ithacas and they are so darn simple I can't figure what your gunsmiths are missing. A lot of smiths can't work on doubles, beware. Have you taken it apart and looked at it?

I had Craig Libhart(spelling?) from Susquhanna Stockworks around York 717-367-3414(sorry had the wrong # at first) fix a stock for me once. That's probably around a hour or 1 1/2 or so away.
