Ok folks -

I need a hand screw and a breech screw for an Ithaca NID.

I have checked with Numrich/GPC. No luck. In the past I would have whistled at Russ Ruppel, and he would find one in his garage, but sadly thats no longer an option. Anyone have a source ?

Or must I fabricate these myself?

Regards

GKT

Greg...You might try these folks. http://www.jackfirstgun.com/. Sorry, I could not get the url function to work to provide you a direct link.

I have had good luck finding assorted screws for various old firearms from them. I have a big advantage though, they are in my hometown and I can take an example down and the ladies behind the counter are very helpful and digging through bins until they find something that works.

If a phone call doesn't do you any good I would be happy to take an example down to them to try to match if you want to send it to me.

Well. I'll be...it did work. Hmmmm.

Have a friend with a 12 NID needing trigger guard screws. What about the firm who's name pops up here every so often that specializes in Ithaca repair?

I have mine made by Gunter Pfrommer, phone 540-484-5555.
Les Hovencamp is also a good suggestion (Diamond Gun Shop.)

Try Greg Grimes or Stokely Meier at Trail Creek Trade Co. http://www.trailcreektrade.com for a possible source. Although I never dealt with him personally, I believe Stokely was at Frontenac Outfitters before they went out of business. They always had a good supply of NID's on hand.

Greg, a gentleman by the name of Donald Wilson in Millersville, Maryland bought many of Russ's parts. I have bought several Lefever parts from him. I do not have a phone number but the email address I have is donaldsdoubles@aol.com.
