I have two guns (both Collaths, coincidentally) with broken horn trigger guards. Does anyone have recommendations for someone who could replace them? (Both trigger guards are beyond repair, and would need to be replaced entirely.)

Thanks,
Clay

I have had great success repairing these using epoxy products like JB Weld. I also use the stuff to repair worm holes in horn butt plates.

Bob,

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, these two trigger guards will need to be replaced entirely.

Larry S. at Dutchman Woodworks used to sell horn for that purpose and I think he may do the triggerguards, too.

I remember reading that the dust from horn can cause some serious respiratory problems so wear a mask.

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.
