italian sxs said "The Crossroads of the West promoter in his infinite wisdon raised the admission from $12 to $20 at the last show." Good Grief!!! I would seriously consider two or three times before I gave that much for admission. I guess we are lucky here in N.Texas in the fact that avg. show prices are $5-8 and no parking fees as of yet that I know of.

This promoter bought out the competition last year and so I guess he now feels he can charge whatever he wants. I suspect this is going to backfire on him big time. As I said attendance was way down at the last show and there were many empty tables. Jim

Our most recent gun show, in St. George, was, by far, the best one we've ever had here.

Wananmacher's 4,000 table show will be April 10 & 11 this year. Lots of doubles there, and most anything else you can think of in the line of guns. In the past at least, they have very limited tables of beef jerky/jewelry/wore out tennis shoes, etc. Curtis

COTW charges $8, here in St. George. I would sure as heck not pay that for one, here. Beinfeld's is only $15, in LV.

Hey, don't forget the good deals on dental equipment and $300 SKS's! I guess I go to the local gunshows for the same reason I buy lottery tickets. I'm always disappointed, but you won't win if you don't play. Wish I'd bought a few more of the pristine, mint Swede Mausers ten years ago for $125!

Appears that the gun show promoters are on the road to accomplising what the anti-gun liberals failed to do...put themselves out of business.

A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.

Appears that the gun show promoters are on the road to accomplising what the anti-gun liberals failed to do...put themselves out of business. Doubtfull, the promoters that is,I agree the liberals will keep trying thou. For most of us here, more seasoned collectors, they don't offer much but they do a steady trade in black rifles, ammo and handguns.Went to a small show last weekend to get it out of my system. There was a long line buying that kind of wares as well as quite a few selling. Many dealers who buy tables could care if they sell any guns as long as the stream of those with their mortgage under water continues to bring in grandpa's Parker to sell for pennies on the dollar. One disturbing trend I am seeing at a gun shows and even at some gun shops is they are becoming "gun free zones" with "No loaded guns allowed" signs! WTF if they don't allow your concealed carry at a gun show(shop)how can we expect them to allow it elsewhere?

Up until 1993, there used to be a gun show at George Mason University, Fairfax, Va. It was used to raise money for the trap and skeet team. They had nice rifles and shotguns; none of the survivalist crap. There was a gunshop from North Carolina who dealt in nice doubles. Their attitude was look but do not touch. There was somebody from Clifton, Va. who was importing Spanish side bys built in the Britsih style. Nice guy. Last one was in 94. They haven't had any since. I understand the powers that be and the alumni did not like the idea of having something so horrible on campus. About the only one in the area that is worth anything is the one at Expo Center in Chantilly. I found some over and unders for sale, but not as much as I would have liked.
