Yes, I know that the gun pictured below is not a SxS, and yes I know that many do not like inlays in their engraving and consider them gouache, but I would like to highlight yet again the work of the following artisans (and I do like the inlays LOL)

If this site and Photobucket cooperate, there will be some pics below of my SX-1. I have posted previous pics of receiver in the white and wood blank, but here is the almost finished gun. The wood needs to have the oil finish redone, hence the grip cap is not installed yet as the screws have been timed and we only want to install them once.
Engraver - Ken Hurst - (910) 221-5288
Gunsmithing and Bluing - Ernest Marlette - (336) 456-1818
Checkering - John Reese - (406) 883-1465, http://www.customdiamonds.biz/index.html
Stock Maker - don't ask, but Doug Mann will be redoing the oil finish
Photography - Berle Cherny - http://www.berlecherney.com

A gun like that could persuade me to reconsider my aversion to semi-automatics. What a nice gun. Thanks for sharing.

Appears to be beautiful work all around but I would like to ask what's specifically wrong with the stock finish? I really can't tell from your pictures.

Yeah, but where's the turtle?

Glenn, it's in there. Duck #1 is about to land on the turtle. Notice the surprised look in the turtle's eyes. By the way, the nails in the siding of the barn are a bit proud of the siding, a function of age. I'm afraid you have to have the gun in hand to see that one.
