check this out...prices for 12/20 models toward the bottom left of page(you'll probably have to zoom in on it) The 28 guage is buried in their convoluted web pages someplace...cuz I've seen it someplace..???

Thanks. I haven't been able to find the 28 ga. prices, but will assume that they are $1,200ish as another poster said. Is the factory amenable to reasonable requests? Such as no engraving, upgraded wood? Is the checkering done by hand?

I held the one & only 28ga 37 at the shot show in January. If my memory is right, I was told these are not yet in production & that came from the engineer that scaled down the 28. It was gorgeous, but it was a prototype. I suspect you couldn't buy at 37 like that for $3K.

It's good to see the 37 back in production & I hope they follow through with the 28.

Guys-

On January 21st I received this information from IGC...:

"The AAA 28 gauge cost is $3499. All the 28 gauge configurations are special order, and the AAA is a hand engraved receiver, so we are looking at a 4 to 6 week production time from the time you order it."

Yes I am going to hunt with my new custom M37, and for lack of better knowledge/skill have applied several coats of Tung (wax will go on afterwards prior to an outing)(and I also lightly acraglassed the stock inlet where it joins the receiver). Other than the "solderless" rib system, I like the fashion of the new rifled slug barrel. Someone asked about hand engraving; here is one photo of my new M37's hand checkering, as well as my impression of the old style (c.1978) slug barrel sights, and the new Ithaca OH barrel sights.

and NEW, w/ estimated factory regulation to 50 yds

Bushmaster...you and everyone else in this country loves those old Ithacas!!!
And by the looks of it, it seems that these 'New' Ithacas are going to get a following also!!
Don't like the fact they're building an O/U and a SxS though, I hope that those models do not put a financial drag on the rest of the operations similar to what happened to the Ithaca Classic Doubles Company a few years back under Steve Lamboy.

I'm with Treblig on that--keep the line simple and good. Get the volume of 37s up and the price down (where I can afford a new 16 for my wife...). In this economy experiments seem pretty risky. Look how Savage has done sticking with the "old tube in a tube" 110/112 series bolt rifles. They aren't 99s but they are cheap and do shoot, and now some of them look pretty good, too.

Whoever thought this thread would go this far? Congratulations. I absolutely agree that a discussion of Ithaca M 37's belongs here.
