I was hoping to be able to shoot it, but I picked it up for just $69 so I won't be sad to make it a nice wall hanger. I would really like to get a nice (modern) coach gun someday.
You have a great attitude. Chop it, paint it, take it apart, do what ever you want to it before you hang it on the wall. It is actually in better shape than my 1st vintage sxs was. I was shocked when some one told me it was unsafe. Sorry now that I did not keep it around. We are all here to learn from each other and our own adventures. I have had guns restored that most likely did not deserve it. But I learned in the process.
A modern coach gun is not hard to acquire. Look for a Baikal or Stoeger. I am sure others can recommend even more names. You may develop a "taste" for the vintage guns that so many of us here care about.
