Therefore to establish a polished blue/black finish, the barrels must be sanded to a bright luster and reblued, correct? The only constant in life is change.

I don't know if a matt finish could be "brightened up" if one wanted without completely refinishing it. I suppose that an auto wax or Renaisance Wax might work and be completely reversable. BTW it is a Grulla if that matters. The only constant in life is change.

Matte, is what I call my Dehaan SO. Also called 'black chrome'; practically impervious to rust. I mean it is just plain dull. Last edited by Patriot USA; 02/05/09 01:40 PM.
