Using "search", read a post that stated STS were a tapered hull and Gun Club a straight hull. Gun Club packaging says same internal dimensions. What's correct? Can same data be used? Is hull life expectancy the same? Etc.

Hodgson manual of reloading says loads are interchangeable. The Gun Clubs will last 1/3 to 1/2 the number of reloads you get with STS or Nitro 27 hulls.
So many guns, so little time!

i've reloaded both to same recipes and worked fine. i personally had better luck loading the gun clubs than i did the new AA's (couldn't get them to hold crimps) and since the data was the same as my sts hulls it made life easy. have likewise read that lifespan is abt half sts hulls but they seem to last considerably better than many others so it's likely half of a higher than normal # anyway.

12g gun clubs are interchangable with STS. 20g seem to be also.
Case won't last as long as STS but a LOT better than new AA (IMHO).
Only slight difference is that the head of the shells are steel (sometimes brass plated). works just fine and easier to resize than AA but not quite as easy as STS.
I pick them up by the bucket full at the range and use them as throw aways with my gas gun as well as with the O/U. Never had a problem with them.
I also load STS/Nitro/(old)AA hulls to same low pressure recipes and they all perform the alike. If I don't look at the shell before I fire it I can't tell which one I used.

I sectioned one of the New AA hulls recently. When sectioned the new insert will pop out or fall out easily. I dont know if there is truth to the insert coming out during firing but it sure made me nervous. Anyone have any comments or problems with them?

the range i shoot at most often, there are basewads all over the place. at least, there are enough that i see them w/o specifically looking for them. HOWEVER, i do NOT know what shells they've come out of. i do know there are lots of AA hulls left laying around. i'm still having trouble understanding how the basewad can come out anyway. the expanding powder gasses are supposed to be in front of the basewad. how do they get behind it and blow it out? not saying it doesn't happen as it must because i see evidence of it.

I've heard that reloading with a MEC will negate any basewad problems because it reseats the basewad during the reprime station.
I've been reloading AAs on my MECs without an issue for thousands and thousands of reloads.
I've also heard that PW reloaders seem to be susceptible to the basewad working itself loose and dislodging during the shot.
