Friend of mine needs a stock repair on a bad crack at the wrist but not broken through. Do you know of a good stock repair person?

I had a VERY bad experience with Bob Fulton, and would not suggest that option. I ended up selling the gun, at a loss because it was not repairable after I got it back...Look elsewhere............

I can not recommend Mr. Fulton either. After a year and many calls I took the loss and moved on...

Regarding Bob Fulton, this was my experience. I sent him a double shotgun stock (broken at wrist) and matching forend to him for quote to fix. I declined. I got the stock and forend back, and on the stock, my last name was written on the buttplate with permanent marker. That came of with paint thinner thankfully. What burned me was my last name was also chiseled into the wood on the underside (thankfully) of the forend where it lays up next to the rib. There is no way to remove this without sanding/taking off wood. All I wanted was a quote and I told him this before I even sent the stock/forend to him. I'll not be using /recommending him FWIW. Others have probably used Mr. Fulton and are well pleased. this was just my experience. Just my 2 cents.

Steve Bertram fixed a Lefever FE 16 for me, which was broken through at the wrist. he has pictures of that work in process on his website. I am pleased with the job, and the repair is almost invisible.
