Anyone familiar with a Blancquaert Bruxelle( not sure about the spelling) gunmaker ?

It's a nice SxS pigeon gun, unfortunately I wasn't able to take pics, the asking price is too high, but I'm curious about the maker, and the gun looks very good quality, although not in very good condition.

I've seen a few of his guns (Brancquaert). Excellent quality Belgian stuff.

I have an original catalog from the early 1900's and have seen a few guns. Top end maker capable of "As good as" anyone.

The only examples of this maker I have handled have been first rate. Top of the line stuff. I once saw a hammer ejector that is one of the best of its kind I have ever seen.

Henrique, only to give you some info about L.Brancquaert sidelock guns there is one for sale in the next HOLT's sale (dec 11) it is lot Nr 1435 and it is made as a live pigeon gun.
I know that maker and see some guns of him,all of them top quality guns non cheap but they can stand with the very best.
In my opinion this one is onder evaluated.

Thank you for the Holt's heads up.
The gun for sale at Holt's looks in better condition, but according to the description, it seems an exact copy of the one I saw for sale here in Portugal.
The gun here is also a live pigeon gun, quite popular until recently. It would be a great gun for a restoration project as we've seen some described and pictured here at the forum.
It's asking price is arround € 5.000

Henrique, if you are sure it is a live pigeon gun (you can see that because the gun have big fences and almost all pigeon gun have side clips) then the asking price is realistic.
This depends de condition of the gun of course and how many money you gona spend for the restauration.
About the connection with J. Defourny I don't know if there was a connection the water table of the gun is stamped with the Defourny trade mark.
