I came across an old double barrel shotgun.
It is an Emil Koch, 16ga, and has external hammers.
It's in pretty good shape but I am having trouble finding much info about it.

Can anyone tell me about these shotguns or point me to a website about them?

Thanks Skeet.
That link is to an auction for an Emil Koch drilling.
This is simply a side by side 16ga double barrel shotgun- no third rifle barrel.
It has external hammers and is very slim compared to modern shotguns.
I have been unable to find any info on his shotguns other then drillings, and not much about those.
Really need some images of the marks to make a stab. Seems Emil Koch had a songbird fetish & was something of a feline catcher?:

Büchsenmacher Emil Koch, Bellevue bei Hohenlimburg in Westfalen

So the double would be post 1902 considering the name of the town atop the top rib??

He may have had a satellite office Kassel, Mauerstraße 12a?

There were several Koch mechanics and I'd hedge my bets he sourced his wares from/thru mechanic Albin Koch of Suhl-Heidersbach.

Cheers,

I will go look more closely tomorrow if possible. I will report any markings I can find.
