I would like to study up and learn a little more about British Falling Block rifles. Can anyone point me to a really good reference or two?

I currently have Kirton's book, but I see that Track of the Wolf sells a five volume set on the subject.

8 volumes from Wal Winfer, all excellent. You can find them used and on Ebay sometimes for less than cover price. Great stuff!
