14 bore belted ball gun brings home the meat. The gun was built between 1838 and the mid 1840's. Took a few years for things to come together. I walked him up out of his bed and at about 50 yards I placed the ball at the junction of the neck and right shoulder, full penetration exiting the left rear leg creating massive trauma. It was an excellent hunt especially when you consider it was a left over license, a public land buck and just a bit over a mile from the house. It was a great hunt!
