I have a Sauer hammer drilling chambered for the 9.3x72R sauer. Is there a problem having it reamed out to standard 9.3x72R? It is one of a pair the other a matching double rifle. I deer hunt with the rifle and would also like to do the same with the drilling.

pod,
The 9.3x72R Sauer is already considerably larger than the normalized 9.3x72R. I use 9.3x74R cases shortened to 72mm in a Sauer combination gun chambered for 9.3x72R Sauer. If your drilling won't chamber a 9.3x72R normalized cartridge you may have the older "D" version of the 9.3x72R.The normalized version was designed to allow "D","E", and 360 versions to be rechambered to the normalized version to allow use of standardized ammo, if they didn't accept the new cartridge. If you handload, there are other options.
