i have a lefever sxs 20ga nitro special and i cant find any numbers on it to identify the year of manufacture. any ideas of where to look?

When you take the barrels off, you should find the serial number on the water table and the barrel flats. A table for determining the year of manufacture is listed in "other useful information" on this home page.
