I'm looking for an unusual gun case/wrap.
It was a piece of soft leather in which you would place your gun.
The leather was then folded around the gun (burrito style) and straps/belts were then secured around the outside.

Help!!

It was like a sheet of leather that you would place your gun in and then fold the leather around the gun.
Belt type fasteners on the outside would secure your shotgun "Burrito".

Jeff's Outfitters has the only similar case I recall having seen.

Very close.
Don't want a take down case though.
Might have to go "custom".

Thank you.

I have this vintage one from A & F. It's serial numbered. I asked Bob Beach about it and after some time he got back to me to tell me he could find no record of it at all. But it's clearly an Abercrombie and Fitch product. Came with my J & W Tolley 12 bore single barrel game gun.

I just saw the Jeff's Outfitters version for the first time about two weeks ago. Very similar but that's the only other one I've ever seen.

Try a CAS leather shop.
Seems I remember seeing saddle scabbards made like that.

Bob, Herman Heiser made those. Good luck finding them for a reasonable price. I have a couple that I would sell for about $400 each. They are unbelievable cases that will never be made again.

Could you please post a picture?

Bob, in an earlier post, you indicated you were not interested in a takedown case. Mine are takedown cases. I have never seen the burrito style in full length.

Why would you not want a hard case that actually protects the gun?

Are there no limits to poseur impracticality?

inquiring minds, etc

Whilst traveling to and fro with my guns,
I've gotten into the habit of putting them inside the truck with me instead of dragging them behind.

Your opinions are welcome but seem rigid like your cases.

I, of course, recognize your right to your own opinions no matter how ill founded and/or erroneous they may be. And to be sure it is your gun that is being subjected to whatever care you might provide. My concern was for the welfare of the gun but I see that is not an apparent consideration for you so the best I can do is wish the best of luck to your gun(s).

have another day

News flash: Most of us have both hard and soft cases.

Most of the time the soft cases are perfectly adequate for the task. I have several of the full length cases that save assembly/disassembly at the shooting venue whatever that may be.

No harm has ever occurred to one of my guns in a good soft case.

Soft case while gun remains in ones own hands.
Hard case if it is to be handled by others.

Bob, I have been looking for a case for you, but only have the burrito type case in takedown for two guns.
